What Are Christmas Football Squares?
It is a regular football squares board played on Christmas Day. Everyone claims squares on a 10x10 grid, the host draws the digits 0 through 9 for each side once the grid is full, and at the end of every quarter the last digit of each team's score points to the winning square. The NFL has leaned into Christmas Day games in recent years, though the exact slate changes with the calendar and the network deals each season, so this page pulls whatever is actually scheduled rather than guess.
Presents are opened, the food is out, and somebody still wants to know who has the good square.
One Game or the Whole Day
Set the board up before the family shows up so it is ready to share the moment someone asks. If Christmas Day has more than one game on the schedule, start a separate board for each one rather than trying to track two matchups on a single grid. Once a board's squares are claimed, the host draws the numbers with one click, and quarter winners get marked as the score comes in, so nobody has to do math between gifts.

Tips for a Christmas Squares Pool
- One board per game if the day has more than one worth watching.
- Sell squares first, randomize numbers second, same as any other week.
- Decide your overtime rule before kickoff, not halfway through the fourth quarter.
- Set a deadline before the day gets busy. Holiday schedules eat into claim time fast.
